Over the past few months, we have worked with a team of industry experts to develop the draft National Occupational Standards (NOS) for a range of Non-surgical Cosmetic Procedures.  This follows on from the development of NOS for Aesthetics in 2019 and the development of the Advanced Aesthetics NOS published in March 2021.

There is now the opportunity to feed back your views on the draft NOS, and share your expertise to help shape these NOS.

National Occupational Standards (NOS) are developed by Standard Setting Organisations (SSO) such as Habia, who consult with employers and other stakeholders across each of the UK nations. This consultation process allows any specific requirements to be considered by each nation and the result is a set of NOS that are suitable for use across the UK.

NOS do not state who can undertake these procedures or what required qualification is needed to be a practitioner.

NOS can be used for developing skills and knowledge, this can include direct transfer into vocational and other qualifications, frameworks for training programmes, measures of workplace competence and influencing job descriptions.

Click this link to the survey in our bio – we’d really appreciate your feedback.  You have the opportunity to review each of 10 NOS, or you can review only the units you have expertise in.  The survey closes on 13th January 2024.

We will also hold an Education Forum for Habia Education Members in early January.

If you would like to discuss the NOS please contact us at info@habia.org
